Activities in the Fall Season for A Better Life

These days, holiday decorations hit store shelves in mid-October, and the gift-buying frenzy begins as soon as Halloween is over. The holiday season seems to come earlier and earlier each year, but I’d just like to say: justice for fall. Fall technically lasts all the way through December 21st, and while I reckon December is the best vacation time, November is still a solid fall. You don’t have to ditch fall fashions, Meg Ryan movies, and all things pumpkin as soon as October ends. In fact, I encourage you not to. Before all the holiday chaos ensues, here are eight end-of-fall activities to help you absorb what’s left of this glorious season.
Plan a Friendsgiving Potluck

A friends party is the perfect excuse to get all your friends together before schedules fill up during the hectic holiday season. I’m not necessarily suggesting you try roasting a whole 15-pound turkey (unless that’s your thing!), so make it easy on yourself by asking everyone to contribute a dish to the spread. Just be sure to coordinate so you don’t end up with five different types of mashed potatoes.
Have a fall movie night

Sadly, prime time for spooky movies has passed (see you next year, Hocus Pocus), but there are still tons of movies out there with immaculate fall vibes. Obviously, anything with Meg Ryan is a safe bet, but we also love feel-good movies like The Proposal, Matilda, and Little Women this time of year. Pick a favorite or two and break out your coziest blankets for the perfect late fall night out.
spend a whole afternoon in a cafe

This is one of those fall activities to save up for on days when the wind is blowing all those crisp leaves away and it’s too cold to go outside. Grab a table at your favorite coffee shop, order a cozy drink, and kick back with a good book. Bonus points if you go on a rainy afternoon for the best fall atmosphere.
Hiking

Depending on where you live, late fall may be the best time for colorful leaves, or the trees may be completely bare by the time November rolls around. Either way, a walk through the crisp leaves is still a great way to spend an autumn afternoon. Be sure to layer plenty and fill your thermos with your favorite beverage to enjoy when you arrive at your destination.
